An organ recital by Alessandro Bianchi

The Bakáts Square mechanical organ, renovated in 2024 and equipped with a stepper (Setzer) system in 2025, hosts free concerts by renowned European organists, first Pedro Alberto Sánchez and then Alessandro Bianchi. The concerts are organized by Szeged organist Levente Kuzma.

A CV of Alessandro Bianchi
Alessandro Bianchi was born in Como and studied in Piacenza Conservatoire where was awarded in Organ and Organ Composition diplomas with Luigi Toja. He also attended the Masterclasses of Nicholas Danby and Arturo Sacchetti. He is Artistic Director of the Musical Association “Amici dell’Organo di Cantu’” and organist of the St. Edward’s the Confessor Anglican Church in Lugano.
Organ Concert tours have seen him to play more that 2500 recitals, always as a soloist, in many Internationals Organ Festivals in Italy, Vatican, Switzerland, Germany, France, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Austria, Spain, Baleares, Andorra, Tenerife, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Alands, Iceland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, Russia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lettland, Latvia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Croatia, Israel, USA, Mexico, Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, South Africa.
He has given Masterclasses and lectures on the Italian Music in Italy, England, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, USA, Singapore and Mexico and he has undertaken several CD and Radio-TV broadcasts and recordings in Europe, USA and Brasil.
He was juror in several organ competitions and many composers have dedicated to him new organ works.
In 2014, the City of Cantù has awarded him with the title of “Honorable Citizen” for his work in Art and Culture.
