An Extraordinary Guided Tour – egy rendhagyó zenei séta

How did dragons end up in a Hungarian Catholic church – and in today’s pop culture? And how was the dragon fruit named and ended up in Africa? We seek answers with the help of the dragons – and our Kenyan guests – of the neo-Romanesque church designed by Miklós Ybl. To explore the connections between Hungary and Kenya, we also use the universal language of music. We will see and hear the renewed organ, and listen to the echoes of the church arches. The walk will end in the decorative-painted undercroft, with the beautiful songs of the Kenyan Aurora Chorale. We close with delicious Kenyan teas.

Hogyan kerülnek egy magyar katolikus templomba – és a mai popkultúrába − sárkányok? És hogyan kerültek Afrikába a „sárkányok gyümölcsei”? Az Ybl Miklós által tervezett neoromán templom sárkányai – és kenyai vendégeink − segítségével keresünk választ ezekre a kérdésekre. Mellettük a séta vezérfonala a zene egyetemes nyelve lesz. Megnézzük és megszólaltatjuk a megújult Bakáts téri orgonát, meghallgatjuk a templomi boltívek visszhangjait. A séta az eredeti díszítőfestést őrző altemplomban fejeződik be a kenyai Aurora Chorale énekeivel, akikkel utána finom kenyai teák mellett lehet beszélgetni.
